What Feelings Are Actually For

Three Ways to Jumpstart Your Healing

Each thing you learn helps you understand yourself more clearly.

2. Change How You View Your Emotions
 
Instead of seeing feelings as problems, begin seeing them as information.
 
Your emotions may hold messages about your needs, your past, or what needs attention right now.
 
Curiosity — not judgment — is what opens the door.
 
3. Practice Tuning In
 
Several times a day, pause briefly and ask yourself: "What am I feeling right now?"
 
You may feel nothing at first.
 
That's okay.
 
Each time you do this, you take a small chip out of the wall.
 
Over time, those chips add up.
 
And with them comes access to a part of yourself that's been waiting to be heard.
What This Process Really Looks Like
Healing Childhood Emotional Neglect is not sudden.

between your emotions and your awareness.
